Sir John Lewis Hospital Charity - Almshouse Vacancy

SIR JOHN LEWIS HOSPITAL CHARITY

NOTICE is given that a vacancy has arisen at Sir John Lewis's Hospital Charity Almshouse, Ledsham

Persons applying for the vacancy must be retired or of retirement age, have limited means, and have resided for at least 3 years in the Parishes of Ledston (inc. Ledston Luck), Ledsham or Fairburn.

If a suitably qualified person from these parishes is not available, then the Trustees are authorised to consider applications from persons who have resided for at least 3 years in the Parishes of Marr, Thorp Arch, Shadwell, Wike, Allerton Bywater or Collingham. More »

The almshouses consist of ground floor sitting room, kitchen, bathroom, and one first floor double bedroom.

There is a monthly maintenance contribution of £300 which includes heating, payable to reside in the cottage.

No pets are allowed.

Every applicant should state his or her name, address, age and former occupation if applicable, and must be prepared to produce sufficient testimonials and other evidence of his or her suitability for appointment. The deadline for applications is 6th February 2023.

Ledsham Parish Council joins the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and our condolences are with King Charles III and the members of the Royal Family. May her life of duty and decency be an inspiration to us all.
